Yew Logs

Yews are the oldest living things on the isles, some rooted before the first settlers arrived, and their heartwood carries that age as strength. The dark, springy timber stores and releases force like no other natural wood, and a drawn yew bow hums with it. Felling one is the mark of a woodcutter who has truly mastered the axe.

The grain is dense, twisted, and unforgiving of careless tools, but in patient hands yew becomes the finest natural timber the realm can offer.
