Raspberry bushes throw up long, arching canes lined with serrated leaves and a light guard of thorns, each cane tipped with clusters of vivid red 

Gathered from the arching, lightly thorny canes of @nodes/fruit-plants/raspberry, these vivid red berries come away from the stem in delicate, hollow cones that all but dissolve on the tongue.
They bruise if you so much as look at them sternly, so foragers tend to eat them where they stand — which is no hardship at all. The first genuinely sweet thing a forager learns to find, and for many the reason they keep looking.


Raspberries

Bright red, cone-shaped berries, soft and sweet.

. They favor clearings and forest edges where sun falls through.
The thorns are more warning than weapon, but a careless forager still comes away striped — the bush's small price for the sweetest fruit of the lower isles.
