Description
Pulled from the burst bolls of a cotton shrub, these fibers are soft, warm, and impossibly light — a handful weighs almost nothing yet holds together well enough to spin. Cleaned of their seeds and carded smooth, they take to the loom with an ease flax never shows.
The cloth cotton makes is gentler against the skin than linen and holds warmth far better, which is why tailors reach for it the moment a garment is meant to be worn rather than merely worked in.
