Lotus

Lotus

A serene water-bloom rising from still mountain pools.

Description

Lotus takes root in the still, mirror-black pools that gather on the higher isles, lifting broad leaves and pale luminous blooms above the water. Snap a stem and it weeps fine threads —Lotus FibersLotus Fibers — that a patient forager can draw out by hand before they dry.

The fiber is rare and slow to win, but what it becomes is rarer still: lotus silk, a cloth so fine and so costly that a single bolt is the work of many days. It is the first true luxury the craft can offer.
